The Brookline High School 21st Century Fund
10th Anniversary Gala
This year, the Annual Gala of the Brookline High School 21st Century Fund will be a larger celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Fund’s inception in December, 1998.  We are using the occasion to depart from the past practice of honoring a Distinguished Alumnus, shifting the focus to the inspirational attributes of the Fund itself as reflected in the Gala’s theme, “A Passion for Excellence.”   We have asked six people connected to BHS and who support the Fund’s work to celebrate the Gala with us and serve as our honorees.  Each is considered at the top of his or her respective field and reflective of our theme. Together, they represent the key groups – alumni, parents, and educators – who form the foundation of the Fund’s operation and support.

The 2008 10th Anniversary events will take place on
Saturday, November 15, 2008
1:00 PM – 2:30 PM “A Passion for Excellence” Forum
BHS Auditorium     
                              An important feature of this year’s Gala is an afternoon forum that allows
                              BHS students and teachers to interact with the honorees. All 10th 
                              Anniversary honorees will participate in a panel discussion, moderated by
                              Bob Weintraub. After each honoree makes a brief presentation on their
                              accomplishments and their passion for excellence, students and other  
                              guests will ask questions. This will be a powerful event for all involved.

The 21st Century Fund creates innovative programs to inspire academic excellence for all students.  We believe that people who are inspired by their passions aim for excellence, and the Fund’s programs support students and teachers in that pursuit. To follow our theme, the Fund helps spark new ideas and light the fire for students and teachers. We invite our supporters to share the passion and celebrate together on November 15.
