Board of Directors
The 21st Century Fund is governed by its board of Directors, a body made up of volunteers from the community and representatives of important constituent groups. Several members of the board are BHS alumni themselves and several more are parents of current or former students.

The board is responsible for effective oversight of the 21st Century Fund's program development and evaluation, budgeting and fundraising, and the overall operation and good health of the organization. Individuals elected to the board serve three-year terms. The board meets four times a year but most directors also serve on at least one committee.

Board of Overseers
The 21st Century Fund also has a Board of Overseers that serve as the Fund’s ambassadors to engage BHS parent, faculty, student and alumni communities, and the Brookline community as a whole. 

As a group of 31 current members, Overseers plan and coordinate Fund outreach and recruitment activities, along with fundraising and community events.
